Administration said the fee adjustments are intended to align harbor parking rates with comparable communities and to build the parking fund for future maintenance and projects; staff proposed raising the 24-hour visitor parking rate to $15 and adjusting seasonal permits. The council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2026-020.
For mobile vendors, the city clerk proposed closing the application period on March 31 so Parks & Recreation would not need to barricade spots indefinitely when no applicants seek a space. Council voted yes on Resolution 2026-021.
Administration said staff will coordinate implementation and publicize changes; permit holders and vendors should consult the city for application details and timeline.
