The Acushnet Conservation Commission on Nov. 12 voted to approve orders of conditions for two single‑family projects in the Deep Brook Estates subdivision and accepted a certificate of compliance for an older single‑family project, while deferring several solar‑project items for further review.
For Deep Brook Estates (lot listed in the record as 12R/lot 15), Zenith Consulting presented plans for a new dwelling with septic and drainage work in the 100‑ft wetland buffer. The commission included standard and enhanced special conditions before approving the order of conditions: an on‑site erosion‑control pre‑construction meeting within five days of mobilization, no stockpiling or equipment stored in the buffer zone, mandatory spill kits on site during all phases of work and a certificate of compliance filing within 18 months of issuance. A motion to approve the order of conditions passed.
The commission also approved the order of conditions for a second Deep Brook lot (lot 13). That lot includes a long driveway adjacent to a BVW; the commission required enhanced erosion‑control measures (a rigid fence with silt fence along the driveway), strict limits on equipment storage (no overnight storage in the driveway), and close coordination with the commission’s new agent for added oversight during driveway construction.
The commission accepted a certificate of compliance for property at 23 Woodduck Road (Emanuel Cabraw), finding the previous house and associated site work were restored sufficiently to meet the permit conditions.
Other actions and continuances: the commission continued Clem’s Way Solar (1094 Main Street) and the Park Drive bridge/amended order discussion to Dec. 10, 2025 to allow the applicants to submit revised plans and supporting documentation. One plan revision for a solar project was approved conditionally with a requirement that the applicant provide proof of recording within a short period; applicants agreed to provide that proof to the commission office.
The commission held an enforcement‑case update (185 Map/Poison Road) and continued that matter to a future meeting pending legal follow‑up.
Next steps: applicants must return with the requested stamped plans, technical memos and proof of recording where required. Several continuances were set for Dec. 10, 2025.
