Council President moved that “the ordinance pass on first reading and be published once,” and the motion carried on a roll call in which Councilwoman David, Councilman Rosen, Councilman Toer, Councilman Wilson and the Council President voted yes.
The action advances the contract terms to a public hearing and later readings; city staff did not present new financial figures during the discussion on first reading. The council did not debate the substance at length during the motion.
The council will take public comment at the scheduled Jan. 21 hearing, and any changes to the ordinance would be made at subsequent readings or as part of the hearing record.
