Wales — On April 21, 2026, the Wales Town Planning and Zoning Committee unanimously approved an application for a 16-by-16-foot greenhouse to be constructed on the east end of the existing garage at 92 West Center Street.
Citizen Steven Lamb appeared before the committee to present the application on behalf of the property at 92 West Center Street. The applicant provided a letter of intent, a site plan, a plat plan and a building plan. The materials state the greenhouse will have no water or electric service and will require no county inspection.
Committee secretary Lee Fox read the minutes earlier in the meeting and the committee then considered the greenhouse application. Committee member Dee Bowers verified required setbacks and moved to approve the application; Austin Shepherd seconded. The motion passed unanimously among those present.
Votes at a glance — The committee approved the March 17 minutes; approved the greenhouse application for 92 West Center Street; and later voted to adjourn the meeting. All votes were recorded as unanimous among members present.
The record does not show a development permit number, a required building permit (the application states no county inspection is required), or a timeline for construction. No additional conditions or appeals were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m.
