Michelle Azar brought members of the Washington 4–5 Center newspaper club to the April 13 meeting to share their work and describe what they have learned. Students described tasks such as surveys and interviews, meeting deadlines, using the Canva app, working in teams and taking leadership roles. Several students named projects (including a short creative piece called "Lafonia") and thanked teachers and staff for support.
Board members and administrators praised the students for their presentations. The appearance was part of the board’s good-news reports and emphasized student engagement in writing and school activities.
