Huron board approves consent agenda including multiple personnel actions and insurance renewals

Personnel actions included five new hires to be covered by workers' compensation and multiple resignations: Sarah Minor (assistant basketball coach, two years service), James Stukrath (high school band director, nine years), Mary Ann Hoyer (executive director, Huron School District Foundation, two years), Brenda Nelson (substitute bus driver, transportation, effective April 1), Chuck Mahold (special education paraeducator, Washington, five years), Heather Brunsoman (special education paraeducator), and others. Two contracts were presented for board approval: Mike Radke, high school social studies teacher, and Sherry Lord, tier-two behavior facilitator at Washington.
The board also approved the ASBSD workers' compensation insurance renewal and the ASBSD health insurance renewal for the 2026–27 school year, and authorized the administration to solicit bids for gasoline and diesel fuel for 2026–27. The administration requested acceptance of student residency action SRA 2025-03.
The consent agenda was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with no member pulling items for separate discussion.
