Tell City council unanimously approved a nondiscrimination implementation plan that staff said is essentially unchanged from the prior year. Janice presented the plan and told council the affirmation is a requirement to receive federal and state highway and grant funds.
"It's a requirement to get federal and state highway funds," a council member said during the brief presentation. Larry moved to adopt the plan and Gerald seconded; council approved the motion by voice vote with no substantive debate. Staff will file the signed plan with the appropriate grant administrators as part of the city's funding compliance obligations.
The vote occurred late in the meeting after the lengthy budget discussion and will be recorded in the formal minutes and grant files.
