The council also adopted Resolution 2025‑01 to prescribe financial disclosure requirements for town officials pursuant to ARS 38‑545.
On staffing, Alan Quist reviewed options for filling key roles (town manager, town clerk, finance director) through interim staffing firms or direct recruitment. Interim Public Management proposed a 30‑day exclusive retainer to provide immediate candidates for the three positions at no cost for that exclusivity period. After debate and a failed motion to table, the council voted to retain IPM to begin searches for interim candidates; councilmembers emphasized the need to move quickly to secure interim leadership while monitoring costs and searching for permanent hires over the coming months.
Council members and public commenters also asked for clarity on election timing, volunteer and committee opportunities and offered venues for future meetings; supervisors and community groups invited the council to participate in local events and volunteer programs.
