Crawford said the city had applied for the grant to support performing‑arts infrastructure in the district and plans to issue a news release with more details. He told council members the work will be phased within the city’s budgeting process, and staff will bill monthly under the planned scope of services.
The announcement came during the city administrator’s regular report; no formal council action was required beyond the public recognition of the award. The city said it will publicize opportunities for the community to view and participate in related planning and events as work proceeds.
