The Caddo Parish School Board opened its March 17 meeting with recognition of student achievements and school staff.
Jqua Stevenson, a senior at Booker T. Washington High School, was introduced as the March 2026 Caddo Parish Student Leader of the Month and spoke about her leadership experience and plans to study cyber security after graduation. Students from Cherokee Park led the pledge of allegiance and a select ensemble from C.E. Byrd High School performed, drawing applause from trustees.
The board also honored STEM educators and JROTC teams. Staff recognized a Donnie Bickham Middle School educator (named in the meeting) for the STEM teacher award following success at a regional robotics competition. Several cadets and JROTC teams received awards and qualified for regionals.
These recognitions were ceremonial and informational; no policy actions were taken as part of the presentations.
