On Ordinance 26‑14 (water fund), water department staff told councilors their priorities include targeted pipe replacement in aging neighborhoods (Berkeley and Ashton areas), hydraulic modeling updates over the summer, and a multi‑year water‑meter replacement program. The director said some capital projects are unlikely to be funded this year without new revenue.
The council opened and closed a hearing on the recreation fund (Ordinance 26‑15), noting balanced revenues and expenditures at $171,000 and recording no public testimony.
