District reports high school construction progress, enrollment and staff climate survey results

According to the presentation, roughly 80% of respondents said they feel they belong at their school; 10 of 12 schools reported staff feeling safe and collaborative; and about 76% of staff said they feel comfortable discussing worries and frustrations. The presenter said principals and school leadership teams will continue following up on areas needing improvement.
The presenter also reported a funding note: in July the district was told federal funds would not be released but that the situation was resolved and the district thanked the Department of Education for assistance. Staff said funding estimates for the coming school year are available. The presentation listed program enrollment counts as 77 and 79 for two items in the slide deck; the presenter did not specify in the meeting which programs those two counts refer to.
