Tipton R‑VI board reorganizes; Brent Updegrove named president by acclamation

After seating new members the Tipton R‑VI Board opened nominations and, by acclamation and unanimous votes, confirmed Brent Updegrove as president and filled vice president, secretary and treasurer roles, and named an MSBA delegate and alternate.
Following recognition of outgoing members and seating of new members, the Tipton R‑VI Board of Education opened the floor for nominations and completed its annual reorganization.
Board leadership was established by acclamation and unanimous confirmation. Speaker 3 announced the results: "Brent Updegrove is our president of the board by acclamation." The board also confirmed the vice president, secretary and treasurer positions and named a delegate to the Missouri School Boards' Association conference. Nominations and confirmations were recorded without opposition; multiple items were closed by acclamation or unanimous voices of "7–0."
Trustees and staff exchanged brief thanks for service as outgoing members were recognized with a plaque and multiple board members expressed appreciation to administrators, teachers and volunteers. The board then moved on to committee assignments and other agenda items.
