Oakwood City Council voted unanimously March 2 to accept a slate of reappointments and new volunteer appointments to the city's advisory boards and committees.
Mayor Bill Duncan reviewed the names and sought council approval. Reappointments included Don O'Connell to the Board of Zoning Appeals; Sarah Wreer (Precinct A), Megan Olirri (Precinct C) and Erica Ensley (Precinct H) to the Budget Review Committee; Abby RLE and Phil Whitmer to the Personnel Appeals Board; Michael O'Connell (Precinct G) to the Property Maintenance Board; and Jan Shide and Ellen Faj to the Tax, Water and Sewer Appeals Board. New appointments included Abby RLE to the Board of Health, Curtis Farnz to the Budget Review Committee (Precinct F), David Cheser to the Property Maintenance Board (Precinct F) and Rob Stevens to the ADA Compliance Committee.
Mayor Duncan moved to accept the reappointments and new appointments; a second was received and the roll call vote was unanimous in favor (Mayor Bill Duncan; Vice Mayor Bington; Mrs. Turban; Mrs. Jackson; Mr. Dorf).
The council noted a few remaining vacancies on the Budget Review Committee and said candidates under consideration for the Planning Commission would be brought forward at a future meeting.
