The task force considered making some AI training mandatory for staff who will be authorized to use AI tools and asked members to propose topics and volunteers for a summit panel in the second week of May.
Members emphasized practical governance features for any deployed agent: explain what datasets underlie an answer, show data-quality signals, disclose known accuracy or bias measures, and ensure human accountability for decisions. Staff also raised cost considerations for retention (vendors may charge by minutes or messages) and accessibility (voice or text channels for users who prefer alternatives to web chat).
Staff committed to propose AI-guideline updates in June that would include retention and responsible-use items and to circulate a planning email seeking volunteers for the summit panel.
