The Lincoln County School Board approved multiple procurement items and contracts during its meeting.
Mr. Luna addressed board questions about student data security when presenting a contract to switch to a state-hosted student data-management endpoint. He said the state-hosted contract is subject to stricter security controls and cited prior breaches involving major vendors; after discussion the board approved the contract.
The board also approved a contract for virtual school and credit-recovery software and passed a resolution authorizing schools to accept electronic payments.
On procurement, the board accepted bids for countertops at Lincoln County High School and a commercial dishwasher for a cafeteria at South Lincoln (the dishwasher amount discussed in the meeting was stated as $86,000). These items were approved by motion and voice vote.
All contract approvals and bid acceptances were made through motions, seconds and recorded voice votes; specifics and bid documents are in the board packet.
