The selectboard adopted an amendment to the town’s application for permission to use public streets and vendor permitting to align the form with other park use applications and to clarify vendor rules.
The amended application adds a signature field confirming applicants have read and understand the rules, clarifies that vendor forms differ from park-use forms, and includes the fee structure the board previously discussed. Board members emphasized that tents on sidewalks must leave room for wheelchair passage and that food trucks must locate on private property or otherwise comply with placement rules so they do not block pedestrian access.
The board moved to accept the amendment "as presented" and approved it in a recorded voice vote. Staff noted the amended application will be appended to the town's licensing materials and enforced by town staff and the clerk's office.
Next steps: updated application materials will be published and the town clerk and relevant staff will coordinate enforcement and applicant education.
