Members praised Lindahl's service and expressed disappointment at her departure. "I watched Gina come in and she was full of enthusiasm... slowly over the years I have seen her be beaten down," resident Lynn Ryder said during a brief comment recognizing the chief's work on the new police station.
Councilors discussed locating and reposting the previous job advertisement, confirming the town will circulate the vacancy on municipal channels and patrol/chief association job sites, and identified the need to assemble resumes and clarify posting platforms promptly. Several members volunteered to track down the prior posting and ensure the opening is distributed widely.
The council also outlined next steps for recruitment and indicated interviews for a town planner and other personnel items will be scheduled in upcoming meetings. No appointment was made at the March 12 meeting.
