The Planning Board on March 4 agreed to continue the public hearing on a major modification to an approved photovoltaic system on Skunkill Road. The board’s solicitor said the applicant and the town had agreed that the applicant would appear at a March 24 special meeting to seek reinstatement of the project’s master-plan approval and that the pending major modification would be continued to the April 1 meeting.
When asked to explain "reinstate," the solicitor said: "It means that the master plan is currently expired and they need to reinstate it pursuant to the local ordinance." The March 24 session will be held at a special location (a school) and is open to the public; the board noted details and how updates will be posted on the town website.
No substantive testimony or applicant response occurred on the modification at the March 4 meeting; staff said it had coordinated with the applicant and that the continued schedule would allow the applicant to pursue reinstatement and to provide any updated materials in advance of the April 1 meeting.
