Staff proposed a live webinar series to streamline outreach on the licensure pathway and to reach a broader audience of students, trainees and future applicants.
Serena Russo, outreach coordinator, said staff have seen an increase in requests from schools and proposed a multi-session webinar series: initial sessions would cover associate registration and the registration application process, followed by sessions on full licensure and supervision. Sessions are to be recorded and posted to the board’s YouTube channel for on-demand viewing.
Serena described logistics for promoting the series, including gathering questions in advance via social media and the outreach email and coordinating with academic partners. Members and academic representatives welcomed the proposal. One representative from William Jessup University said recordings were particularly useful when in-person capacity limits were reached.
Staff noted resource constraints and platform-capacity considerations; they proposed starting with a small number of sessions (potentially timed to spring and fall terms) and expanding as resources permit. The committee did not adopt a formal motion to implement the series but requested staff continue planning and return with a pilot plan.
