Midwest City-Del City board approves four principal hires, including Brandon Hawkins

Mrs. Houston presented the first recommendation: Brandon Hawkins as an elementary head principal. Mrs. Houston outlined Hawkins’s background, saying he graduated from Hugo High School (class of 2000), earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, a master’s in sports administration and a master’s in educational leadership, and brings 11 years of experience in education and administration. Trustees approved the recommendation by unanimous roll-call vote.
The board then approved Tamara Moore as an elementary principal. The presentation noted Moore is an Oklahoma City native with more than a decade serving in the district, including a decade at Midwest City Elementary in classroom and instructional coach roles; trustees welcomed her appointment.
Next, Dorothy Mosley was recommended and approved; presenters described Mosley as a product of the district with 28 years in public education, extensive leadership experience and an emphasis on character education and family partnership.
Finally, the board approved Stephanie Greg for the alternative school/Career Academy principal role; presenters said Greg began her career in the district and has experience in instructional leadership and administration and expressed excitement to return to the Career Academy.
All four recommendations were approved by recorded votes from board members present. The board welcomed the new principals and moved to adjourn the meeting.
