At the Jan. 8 meeting the Avon Town Council approved multiple formal actions.
Resolutions: Council adopted Resolution 2026-01 (declaratory resolution for Project Lift personal property) and Resolution 2026-02 (declaratory resolution for Project Lift real property). Staff presenter Ryan Cannon brought the items forward and motions to approve were offered and carried on roll-call votes recorded 5-0.
Resolution 2026-03 (1782 Rebuttal) was added to the agenda, presented by Ryan Cannon, and approved by a 5-0 roll-call vote after a motion by Greg Zusan and second by Robert Pope.
Ordinance: On final reading the council adopted Ordinance 2025-36, an amended internal controls policy. Dan Taylor presented the ordinance; Robert Pope moved approval and the motion passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote.
Other: The council approved an INDOT CCMG agreement presented by Ryan Cannon; a motion to approve was made by Robert Pope, seconded by Jayson Puckett, and passed 5-0. The Town Attorney 2026 engagement letter was also approved by unanimous roll call.
