Avon council fills boards and assigns liaison roles; most appointments approved unanimously

At the Jan. 8 meeting the Avon Town Council approved a slate of appointments to boards, commissions and liaison roles.
Council appointed Dave Kauffman and Bill Reed to the Plan Commission and appointed Steve Eisenbarth and John Hanks to the Redevelopment Commission (RDC). Dawn Lowden appointed Ann Inman to the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) and Chad Higgins to the Stormwater Board. The EDC appointment of Shelby Farthing, the PRBC appointment of Candace Florence, and Fire Appeals appointments of J Cole Ritter and Steve Schaecher were each moved, seconded and recorded as passing 5-0. Dawn Lowden also appointed Bob Culler, John Hanks and Shelby Farthing to the RDA.
Liaison roles were assigned: Ryan Cannon was named liaison to Citizens Water Advisory, the IRTC, the Chamber of Commerce and assigned as a CIRDA representative (shared with Dawn Lowden); Dawn Lowden was assigned to the HC Recycling District, County Council & County Commissioners and the Police Merit Board; John Taylor was listed for HCEDP; Greg Zusan for Planning & Building; and Steve Moore (with Keeton Olson as backup) for IRTC Tech.
Most appointment motions were recorded on roll calls as unanimous where a vote is shown. Several appointments were made by voice or nomination and appear on the meeting minutes as accepted.
