The Cannabis Compliance Board voted March 19 to extend the final inspection deadline for TRNVP098 LLC (conditional adult-use retail license RD672, Lander County) to Dec. 1, 2026, and required the licensee to provide a status update at the board's June meeting.
Staff described the petition as a request to extend the 12-month period for final inspection; TRNV RD672 had previously received multiple extensions, including one granted at the January 2026 meeting. Shane Terry explained that Lander County recently ended a long-standing moratorium on retail dispensaries and that site-specific feasibility and zoning reviews are ongoing. Terry estimated site selection and entitlement could take six to 18 months depending on purchase versus lease and permitting timelines.
Board members discussed an approach that would allow the extension while requiring a three-month status check so the board can monitor progress and avoid perpetual, unproductive extensions. Chair Major General Barry and other members emphasized stewardship and accountability; the board's motion approved the extension to Dec. 1, 2026 with a status update to be provided at the June CCB meeting.
The extension was approved by voice vote and the board recorded the motion with the condition that staff and the licensee provide updates at the scheduled status check.
