The University of Guam Board of Regents on May 14 approved the presidential evaluation committee's finding that President Enriquez's performance for the review period was "better than satisfactory." The committee noted the finding makes the president eligible for a 2%–3% merit adjustment under her employment agreement, but President Enriquez told the board she would forgo any proposed salary increase.
"I will be foregoing any proposed salary increase in connection with this two-year evaluation period at this time," President Enriquez told the board during the open-session evaluation discussion.
The meeting also recorded several tenure approvals. The board unanimously approved multiple tenure recommendations presented in open session, including tenure for Dr. Rita Sharma, assistant professor of psychology.
In officer elections held for terms beginning June 1, the board elected Regent Nohalawa as chairperson, Regent Mali as vice chairperson and Regent Dwenius as treasurer. All elections were carried by voice vote with no recorded oppositions.
The board adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
