The Kokomo School Corporation Board of Trustees on May 4 accepted multiple personnel actions and introduced a new administrator.
Superintendent and staff presented retirements (Robert McIntyre, Roberto Rebelar, Dawn Treadway) and resignations (Jennifer Blankenberger, Grayson Balding, Perry Groover, Bronson Smith, Kimberly Tucker, Mercedes Van Meter). The board also approved leaves of absence (Angela Anderson, Suzanne Milligan, Rachel Oldacre, Kylie Scrugs), certified recommendations (including Gabrielle Smith) and classified recommendations (Carrie Burcham and Jeffrey Junker), as well as extracurricular agreements. Trustees moved, seconded, and carried the personnel slate by voice vote.
After the personnel approvals, trustees introduced Weston Hansen as the new vice principal at Kokomo High School and welcomed him to the role. Several trustees offered personal remarks recognizing long service and expressing appreciation for staff; one trustee noted a "full circle" moment in referencing Gabrielle ("Gabby") Smith.
The personnel actions were entered into the record; the transcript does not show numerical vote counts for approvals.
