During the superintendent’s report, Miss Sanford provided several operational and community announcements for Red Oak ISD.
She said early voting began on the day of the meeting and runs through April 27, noting there will be no voting on April 21 or April 26. The district will be closed on Friday, April 24, for a district holiday. Teacher Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 4–8. The superintendent also reminded the public that 'Coffee Talk' with district leadership will take place Wednesday, May 6 at 7:45 a.m.
Sanford said the next regular board meeting will be Monday, May 11 at Dr. Joyce Shaw Middle School and that the district will host a mobile food pantry Thursday, May 14 at 4:00 p.m. at the ESC building. She announced the opening of Shirley Jones Elementary on Harmony Way the following day, noting shuttle service will run from Shut‑In Elementary beginning about 4:40 p.m. because on‑site parking will be limited; the district will notify attendees if plans change due to weather.
These items were presented as informational announcements; no formal board action was taken on them at this meeting.
