On May 18 the Saint Marys City Council approved staff recommendations to award procurement bids opened May 6 for stone materials and road oils.
For stone materials the council accepted bids naming Bulmer Paving of Saint Marys for multiple limestone products at per‑ton rates listed in the city's bid packet, and Two Bucktail Excavators of Saint Marys for a number‑three limestone line item. Staff said recommended bidders were the lowest responsible and noted estimated quantities might vary.
For road oils the council approved Midland Asphalt Bloomsburg as the lowest responsible bidder for several oil products and rates reported in the packet. Council moved and seconded each award; the clerk announced the motions carried.
Staff will proceed with contract execution and ordering per usual procurement practice.
