Votes at a glance: minutes, finances, personnel and extracurricular approvals at April 20 board meeting

At its April 20 meeting the Raymond #14 School District Board of Education recorded a series of mostly unanimous voice-vote approvals across routine and agenda items.

The board approved: minutes and workshop minutes from March; committee minutes (personnel, finance); the March financial report; the retirement request of eighth-grade teacher Stacy Stock (25 years of service); membership in the WAC athletic conference for the coming season; an overnight band festival trip to Wisconsin Dells for seventh- and eighth-grade band students (56 students plus eight guests from a neighboring district, with costs largely covered by PTO and families); and a large batch of Neola policy updates from the March packet (second reading and approval). The board also approved the 2026–27 employee handbook and adopted a new mathematics curriculum (separate articles cover those items in detail).

All votes reported on the record were carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The meeting concluded with a motion, roll call and vote to convene in closed session under Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(c) to discuss employment contracts for professional staff and administration.

A closed session was entered and the livestream was ended as the board moved out of the public portion of the meeting.
