Holly Park residents ask Gardena to suspend Monday parking enforcement for three hours

"We are asking for a suspension of enforcement on Mondays only from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to allow public parking when the club meetings and senior lunches are in session," Johnson said. She told the council that the measure would be a low-cost, short-term accommodation that would not require new signage and noted community members had developed other potential solutions.
Johnson said the association is not proposing to eliminate parking districts but to reassess enforcement to address current needs, particularly for seniors who need shorter walks to the senior-center activities. Councilmembers did not take immediate action; the request was placed on the record and staff and the association indicated willingness to discuss options and next steps.
The Council received three oral-communication items that evening and directed staff to continue outreach channels for resident concerns and possible referrals to future agenda items, as appropriate.
