The Onteora Central School District board on April 21 unanimously approved the Olster County Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) administrative budget for 2026–27 in the amount of $7,428,827.
Trusty Jared moved the motion to approve the BOCES administrative budget; Trusty Smith seconded. Board members indicated the vote was unanimous.
In related business, the board cast its ballots for Olster County BOCES seats and approved routine consent agenda items (14.02–14.10), including volunteer confirmations and donor recognitions. Trustees emphasized that they review contract and agenda materials in advance; contracts and retainers listed in agenda items 15.02–15.08 were approved by unanimous vote.
On policy matters, the board conducted first readings of several policies (including student activities fund management and automated external defibrillators) and took second readings and adopted policy 1611 (procedure for the annual district election), policy 7621 (rights of students with disabilities under Section 504) and policy 8130 (non‑discrimination and equal opportunity).
