Heidi Lindberg presented the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) award from FEMA, passed through the state, saying the grant amount is $48,000 and carries a 50/50 match requirement.
"This is the Emergency Management Performance Grant through FEMA... the grant award amount is $48,000," Heidi said, and noted the period of performance would run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. She added the county received funding late and that much of the match is covered by the emergency manager's salary.
An unnamed commissioner moved to accept the EMPG award as presented; the board called for a vote and responses were recorded as "I." The motion carried as recorded.
County staff indicated the Grants Department is aware of the award; no additional conditions or reporting schedules were discussed in open session during the recorded segment.
