County amends grant budgets and accepts $52,096 bioterrorism preparedness grant

The amendment reallocated multiple line items across grant and contingency accounts to balance the county budget entries tied to those grants.
Separately, Public Health Services accepted a Public Health Preparedness/Response to Bioterrorism grant of $52,096 from Health Research, Inc. for July 1, 2018–June 30, 2019. Appropriations were added to the 2018 and 2019 budgets, with unspent funds to be rolled into 2019.
The budget amendment and the grant acceptance were adopted by the Legislature, which directed staff to reflect the changes in county accounting and to provide additional information to grantors and auditors as required.
