Board reallocates TSPLOST funds, issues RFPs for ambulance and building repairs, and approves NBID and ACA service agreements

At the May 11 meeting the Board reallocated $9,211.17 from a mulching-head purchase and $2,802.75 from TSPLOST to fund road striping; authorized RFPs for a new ambulance build and repairs to 124 North Court Square; approved an NBID account arrangement pending legal review; and approved a $3,052 annual MedCom ACA reporting contract.
Meriwether County commissioners on May 11 approved several administrative and procurement actions to address road maintenance, emergency services and county property repairs.
The Board reallocated $9,211.17 from a mulching-head purchase and an additional $2,802.75 from TSPLOST to cover a road-striping invoice of $54,448.90 and related commitments; staff stated the striping would cover 24.45 road miles.
Commissioners authorized staff to issue an RFP to obtain pricing and timelines for a new ambulance build and separately to issue an RFP for interior and exterior repairs to 124 North Court Square (Tax Assessor/Tax Commissioner building). Both RFPs will return recommended bids and funding sources to the Board.
The Board approved participation in F&M Bank’s NBID reciprocal-deposit program for new SPLOST and TSPLOST accounts pending legal review, with authorized signers Finance Director Tammy Lackey and County Administrator John Gorton. The demonstration was viewed favorably by staff and auditors.
Because ACA reporting services were no longer included under the County’s new broker, the Board approved a $3,052 annual MedCom contract for ACA employer reporting to be paid from the Human Resources budget.
All administrative items passed by unanimous vote.
