Two residents used the public-comment period at the March 24 Harrison Township meeting to raise local infrastructure and permitting concerns.
Michael P. Campbell of 12 North Canal Street presented photos of local street conditions and asked the board about the proper procedure to request storm-drain improvements. Manager Amy Rockwell said she would research the history of the drains and contact Campbell with a follow-up.
Bill Godfrey of 20 Walnut Street asked the board to waive a survey requirement for a deer-fence permit after the zoning officer advised a survey was needed. Solicitor Mueller advised the board that the survey requirement is part of township ordinance code and is not within the board's authority to waive. Godfrey also announced the township's annual Easter egg hunt scheduled for April 12 from 1 to 3 p.m.
No waiver or ordinance change was made at the meeting; the solicitor's statement closed the request as not eligible for board waiver during that session.
