Shanna Adams, Committee member, said she will consult with the County Attorney to address liability and legal protections before the board finalizes program language. Adams also noted the board plans to consult the Historic Preservation Officer during final design to ensure compatibility with preservation guidelines.
Board members discussed application and selection processes and the need for appendices to guide applicants, including material lists, contractor information and step-by-step project guidance. Maisie Sulser was nominated to assist with developing those appendices.
No formal vote to adopt the program was recorded; the item remains in development pending legal review and consultation with the Historic Preservation Officer. The board listed the Façade Improvement Program on future agendas for follow-up.
