Union County accepts amended TIF #8 agreement, approves vendor claims and surplus equipment

The Union County Board of Commissioners on May 26 accepted an amended development agreement for Tax Increment Financing district #8 with Dakota Dunes Land Holdings LLC. Commissioner Tom Kimmel moved the amendment's acceptance and Commissioner Michael Dailey seconded; the motion carried. The minutes say the amendment corrected typographical errors in the agreement.
The board also approved audited claims by motion. The minutes list audited claims and warrants drawn, including Persing Excavating (highway construction) $44,831.91; Ulteig Engineers, Inc. (professional services) $38,269.25; and Midway Service/Vollan Oil $34,591.20, among many smaller vendor payments and mileage reimbursements. The motion to approve claims was moved by Peggy Ustad and seconded by Tom Kimmel; it carried.
In related administrative actions, the board approved a motion to surplus Watchguard cameras and equipment from the Sheriff's Office and approved up to $1,500 to purchase a new camera from ECI to be installed on the tower aimed at the newly paved parking lot. Both motions were recorded as carried.
