Sandoval County Ethics Board approves corrected minutes and quarterly report

The Sandoval County Ethics Board met April 27 at 4:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Commission Chambers and voted to approve a corrected set of minutes from its Jan. 26 meeting and its quarterly report.
The board’s chair opened the meeting, called the roll and led the Pledge of Allegiance. During consideration of the Jan. 26 minutes, a member pointed out that the printed minutes showed Jan. 27 and asked that the record be changed to Jan. 26. Robert Wilkins moved to approve the minutes with that correction; the motion was seconded and the board voted to approve the minutes.
The chair then introduced the quarterly ethics report and asked whether members had reviewed it. A board member moved to approve the report "as presented," with the chair noting a footer error that the bottom of a page read "page 1 of 3" and should read "page 1 of 2." The board voted to approve the quarterly report with those two corrections.
Board discussion included a question about how the report will be presented to the County Commission. A board member asked, "Do we have a standard practice for that, or is there some other method we present this to them?" The chair said she customarily presents the board’s report at a County Commission meeting and will propose the report at the next commission meeting; commissioners will have an advance copy of the report.
No members of the public signed up to comment. The chair noted the arrival of another board member during the meeting and, with no further business, a member moved to adjourn; the motion was seconded, the board voted in favor and the chair adjourned the meeting.
