Commission ratifies new senior-center board after state funding concerns

County staff recommended ratifying three board members to restore governance and oversight.
The commission ratified Cindy Reed, Wade Worrall and Jody Johnson as executive board members. Staff also said the county assigned a grant writer and budget support to help the nonprofit correct deficiencies, complete necessary purchases such as director/board insurance and pursue new funding opportunities. "They're digging us out of it as we go," the county manager said.
