Commission authorizes professional services agreement with Lee County Humane Society

Jessica Silva, the city's community services superintendent, said the partnership has been in place for more than 10 years and that the agreement would allow the city to continue essential services supporting animal welfare. Silva noted representatives from the humane society were present and offered to answer questions.
A motion to approve the resolution was made by Commissioner Penick, seconded by Commissioner Fields, and passed by unanimous recorded vote. Commissioners thanked the humane society for its frontline work and said the city looks forward to continuing the partnership.
The action continues an existing service arrangement; the motion carried without recorded conditions or amendments noted in the meeting record.
