Clovis commission unanimously approves consent agenda including land sale ordinance and $2M NMDOT grant application

- Ordinance No. 2255-2026 regarding sale of public property at 400 South Norris Street. - Resolution No. 3361-2026 delegating authority to approve special dispenser license applications. - Resolution No. 3360-2026 (DFA budget changes). - An application for the New Mexico Department of Transportation project fund for 14th Street maintenance requesting $2,000,000 with matching funds of $2,000,000. - Appointments of Larry Jones and Nick Williams to the Veil Aviation Board as citizen-at-large representatives and reappointments to the Senior Services Committee (Melinda Coslet and Terry Potter). - Authority to apply for and accept a JAG grant for FY 2026-27 not to exceed $175,000 for the Region 5 drug task force. - Authority to apply for and accept an Institute of Museum and Library Services National Leadership Grant for up to $150,000 for a Clovis Carver Library Master Plan. - A free admission event at Hillcrest Park Zoo on April 4 for a community Easter egg hunt and a tire amnesty at the Clovis Regional Landfill April 24272627 to April 27.
Commissioner Porter moved and the mayor pro tem seconded the consent motion; the mayor announced the items had been properly moved and seconded and the items were carried unanimously by acclamation. The commission then voted to approve all consent items and the motion passed unanimously.
