Mayor Mike Morris framed the item as part of the annual review called for under the manager’s contract and recommended a modest cost-of-living adjustment in the absence of a new compensation study. The commission debated neither an alternative percentage nor amendments before voting.
The commission’s action authorizes city staff to implement the pay adjustment consistent with the manager’s contract and to reflect the change in payroll and budget records.
