The presenter said the amendments would bring county code into alignment with prior commission direction and state law (citation provided in the meeting). "The consideration or the proposed amendments would do basically three things," counsel said, listing the property-tax requirement, the zoning alignment, and the statutory update coming into effect July 1.
A motion to direct staff to publish the title and summary of the ordinance passed unanimously. The action initiates the ordinance publication and the matter will return for formal hearing and possible adoption at a future meeting; the motion itself does not adopt the ordinance language or change current licensing practice until subsequent hearings.
