Trustee (speaker 1) made the motion to approve the stipulated expulsion and the motion was seconded on the floor; the recording shows the vote as 4-0.
The board also reported ratification of a final settlement agreement and general release in a special-education due-process matter (OAH case number 2025111057). According to the board report, the district agreed to fund and provide educational services for the student specified in the settlement, and the parents agreed to release claims against the district in exchange for the services. The vote to ratify the settlement was recorded as 4-0.
Because both actions occurred in closed session, the board provided only the summary it is legally permitted to disclose: the existence of the stipulated expulsion agreement, the readmission eligibility date, and the fact of the districtparent settlement and its OAH case number.
What happens next: The expelled student may seek readmission after the stated date; the district will implement educational services as set out in the settlement agreement.
