Residents urge safety on pool fence, call for clearer fireworks guidance

Two residents addressed the Board of Supervisors during non-agenda public comment on June 12, urging the township to prioritize safety and improve communications.
Barb D. Domenico (S9) said she supports prioritizing safety over budget when children’s risk is at stake and asked that any child-safety issues with the Mary Barnes pool fence be handled first. "If there's any chance that that fence poses a safety issue for children, that's gotta be taken into consideration before that's my opinion as a community person and a mom," she told the board.
Chris Nononman (S10) asked the township to publish clearer guidance about what fireworks are allowed and to step up enforcement. He described repeated, disruptive fireworks in his neighborhood and said many residents do not understand the limits on fireworks. Police and staff said they will begin publishing guidance, asked residents to report incidents to the police, and said enforcement resources would be monitored ahead of the Fourth of July period.
Chair (S1) and manager (Angela/S4) said the township will add fireworks information to its website and consider short town hall sessions to improve resident communication about safety topics, capital projects and road work.
