The Governance & Administration Committee and the full Board handled procedural business on Jan. 21, including a committee motion to authorize advertising an ordinance to change the committee's name and the board's unanimous adoption of the consent calendar.
At the committee meeting, Commissioner Epstein moved to authorize the township secretary to advertise notice of intent to adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 7 of the township code to change the name from the Administrative and Human Resources Committee to the Governance and Administration Committee; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously in committee.
Later in the regular Board meeting the consent calendar (pages 4—16 of the packet), which included the committee authorization and several minutes and routine items, was moved, seconded and adopted by unanimous assent at roll call.
No final ordinance adoption occurred at this meeting; the action authorized advertisement of the notice of intent to adopt the code amendment in accordance with municipal procedures.
