North Fayette board awards road contracts, approves sewer payment and park grant

At its April 28 meeting the North Fayette Township Board of Supervisors approved a series of infrastructure actions, including a recommended partial payment on a sewer project, awards for roadway work, bond reductions, and a park grant application.
The board approved Partial Payment No. 1 for the North Branch Sewer Interceptor project consistent with the Township Engineer LSSE’s recommendation; LSSE’s report and payment recommendation listed Partial Payment No. 1 at $137,852.35. The board adopted Resolution No. 70‑26 to authorize the payment.
The board also awarded Contract No. 26‑R02‑2026 (Roadway Improvement Program, base bid plus Add Alternate NF‑A1 and NF‑A2) to Youngblood Paving, Inc. in the amount of $676,020.00 (Resolution No. 73‑26), and awarded Contract No. 26‑R03 – 2026 Roadway Maintenance – Seal Coat (Robb Hill Road add alternate) to Youngblood Paving, Inc. in the amount of $45,766.00 (Resolution No. 74‑26). All contract awards passed by unanimous roll call.
Several bond reductions were approved as recommended by the Township Engineer: Highland Ridge Townhomes (performance bond reduced from $3,129,372.46 to $3,020,286.28); Plank Holdings (West View Cunningham) (from $501,108.30 to $193,836.83); and Fayette Farms Phase 10 (from $3,389,838.66 to $698,553.96). The minutes record each reduction and unanimous roll‑call approval.
The board also authorized submission of a C2P2 grant application to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the Donaldson Park Trail Expansion and Connectivity Project (Resolution No. 71‑26). The resolutions and contract awards were recorded as carried by roll call votes.
The approvals allow contractors to proceed with scheduled work and authorize the Township to execute standard contracting and payment processes; LSSE’s report notes the North Fayette Boulevard pre‑construction meeting was held April 14 and construction is anticipated to begin in early May.
