Hope Pavlakovich told the RAC that a recent Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank drive had 31 donors, providing assistance to roughly 93 people. She reviewed upcoming events and volunteer needs, noting the Jig Jog on March 7 (RAC help needed to distribute packets at 8:00 a.m. and to staff points along the course), Shred Day on March 28 (no volunteers needed), and the Egg Hunt on April 1 with 5,000 eggs provided by Cops Care for Kids; the Egg Hunt typically concludes in under five minutes.
Pavlakovich also said field rental applications are being processed and that the second round of summer camp registration had opened, with 55 of 70 full-day slots filled. She noted the Veterans Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 20 and will require significant planning.
On staffing, John Harrison asked Cheryl Neidig for an update on recreation hiring; Neidig said there were no new hires and that the township is considering restructuring given several key open positions, with an emphasis on finding the best candidates. Mark Yasenchak reported he had received a call about public works staffing and that Nate Hart would follow up on a related action item.
Next steps: staff will continue recruitment and planning for events and will follow up on public-works staffing matters.
