The contractor selection and timeline were revealed during public comment when resident Mark Peterson asked which company had been chosen after seeing flagging at the site and expecting work to begin around March 1. It was explained that easements are being obtained and that the township is coordinating with the relevant homeowners associations on grading, a fire lane and walking paths.
At the liaison report, Laura Brown said the Board of Supervisors' upcoming agenda includes a vote on a temporary closure of Paul Walters Park related to the project. The hearing and any formal closures will be decided by the Board of Supervisors at that meeting; the RAC discussion did not include a formal vote on the closure.
Next steps: staff will continue easement work and coordination with HOAs, and the temporary-closure request will be considered at the next Board of Supervisors meeting.
