Allendale board discusses “Coming Soon” town-center sign and GVSU student project

The board recorded that the Township Board of Trustees generally liked the idea of signage but prefers placing a sign only after more details and next steps are defined. Members discussed including a QR code on the sign to link to project updates once information is available.
Board members also discussed creating a Planning/Project Committee to guide next steps. Adam Elenbaas and David Vander Wall said they would bring the committee proposal to the Board of Trustees for further discussion and scheduling. Students from GVSU are expected to present their town-center concept projects at a future township meeting, the board noted.
No formal vote on signage or a planning committee was recorded; the board identified the GVSU meeting and trustee discussion as the next steps before any public-facing sign is installed.
